Life Flight Trust transports a Patient from Awatere Valley
At 1300 this Afternoon the Life Flight Trust responded
to Awatere Valley South of Seddon in the South Island. A
45yr old male from Blenheim had fallen off his trail
bike.
Life Flight responded with a Wellington Free Paramedic on board the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
The Helicopter was able to land on a ridge above the patient.
The patient who had been riding his motorbike with a group of about 20 other trail bike riders when he fell off and landed down a small gully. On arrival of the helicopter, the patient was being looked after by other trail riders in the group.
The Patient was suffering from neck and back injures.
The patient was flown to the Wairau Hospital Emergency Department where he is being treated for his injuries.
