Winners Announced For Ngaruawahia Best Garden Competition
Twelve placegetters won prizes in the Ngaruawahia Best Garden Competition.
Sharyn Goodwin, Waikato District Council’s co-ordinator for the Ngaruawahia Garden Competition, said the quality of this year’s entries was very high.
“I really enjoyed seeing all the lovely gardens, it’s great to know there are so many enthusiastic gardeners in our community. It was especially rewarding to see children taking an active interest in gardening by growing vegetables and flowers,” she said.
The Best Garden Competition is an annual event sponsored by the Ngaruawahia Community Board and the Waikato District Council. Competitions are run in the Ngaruawahia, Huntly, Onewhero-Tuakau and Raglan community board areas.
Congratulations to all the winners: Doris and Jim Luff; Peter Clothier; St Pauls School; Lyndy Wilson; Newcastle Kindergarten; George and Christine Palmer; Deirdre Wills; Zelmar Whiteoak; Ivy Mounsey; TJ Destiny; Vicki Dawick; and Cameron and Alicia Moss.
