It’s time to Pack The Bus!

Media Release

It’s time to Pack The Bus!

The Wellington City Mission and event partners The Breeze, are excited to announce the dates of our annual Go Pack The Bus Christmas toy and food appeal.

From Monday 21 November through to Friday 2 December, a Christmas-themed Go Wellington bus will be visiting schools and supermarkets right throughout the Greater Wellington region, collecting Christmas toys and food for families in need. The Breeze, are once again supporting this event through providing celebrities, entertainment and a whole lot of Christmas fun!

Pack The Bus is a great way to help families that may not be as fortunate as the rest of us, and will ensure even families having a tough time, can experience the joy of giving. The Mission works hard every day of the year to help families who are struggling to achieve a quality life, but Christmas can be particularly stressful for many families.

Last Christmas, thanks to events such as Pack The Bus, The Mission distributed over 1,000 Christmas food parcels amongst users of The Mission and other social services in the Greater Wellington area.

Please help us Pack The Bus again in 2011!
Every day at 10.20am, The Breeze team will announce where the bus will be that day, so you can grab your pressies and head to the collection spot that suits you.

Here are just a few suggestions for things The Mission would like help to collect again this year:
