TV ONE UNLEASHES LIVE PRIME-TIME RUGBY SHOW

Friday’s shows extended with earlier kick-off

Debut scheduled for 7:30pm tomorrow on TV ONE

Thursday 29th September 2011

TV ONE’s warming up for the business end of the RWC by unleashing a live prime time rugby show on Friday nights.

RWC 2011 - TONIGHT has been brought forward and the game extended to 60 minutes. Kick-off is now scheduled for 7:30pm tomorrow night (Friday 30th September).

Host Martin Devlin will be joined by a squad of rugby celebrities and experts starting with TVNZ’s RWC commentary team from North Harbour Stadium.
Andrew Saville and former All Blacks Jeff Wilson and Taine Randell will be coming to you live from the sideline just ahead of the South Africa v Samoa clash.

STARTING XV:

The Topp Twins yet-to-be-capped propping duo of Ken & Ken join the social commentary from Christchurch.
Fan Ambassador Rod Cheeseman is on tour and will report in from some far flung fan zone while Leigh Hart takes an “off the wall” look at the RWC.

INVITATION TEAM:

Special guests tomorrow night include former Welsh Captains Emyr Lewis & Michael Owen.

MEDIA SCRUM:

London Evening Standard rugby journalist Chris Jones and Welsh TV commentator Wyn Gruffydd make up the small but outspoken media scrum.

RUGBY ROCKSTAR:

And this Friday night’s rugby rockstar is former England international and British & Irish Lion, Martin Bayfield. The English Lock’s now a motivational speaker – he talks quarter finals and the chances of the RWC heading back to the home of rugby at the end of October.

Live music by ‘The Peter Urlich Band’.
