Majority of Wellington RWC fans well-behaved
Wellington Police are pleased with the majority of RWC fans at the Westpac Stadium for the Australia versus USA match this evening.
Wellington Police District RWC Operation Commander Inspector Simon Perry says there were four arrests and 12 evictions.
"Most of these incidents were simply cases of people over-indulging in too much alcohol, spoiling it for the majority of fans who were really well-behaved."
Those arrested included one for pitch invasion and others for disorderly behaviour and trespass.
Inspector Perry says a large number of Police staff are working in and around the city over the weekend in the lead up to Sunday's Argentina versus Scotland match.
