Ian Mune talks of Billy T. James on Triangle/Stratos
This year the actor, writer, narrator, producer and director Ian Mune both turned 70 and directed, "Billy T: Te Movie".
This affectionate biography marks the 20th anniversary of the tragic early death of the genius comedian Billy T. James.
In 1985 Billy T's part in "Came a Hot Friday", directed by Mune, passed into the legend of New Zealand cinema.
Mune, who admits his general purpose acting face looks as though it was “pummelled out of dough”, helped pioneer New
Zealand TV drama 40 years ago with "Pukemanu" and has been a consistent presence ever since.
Ian Mune will be "In Conversation with Noel Cheer" next week on Triangle/Statos Television.
