Dunedin Made Unforgettable by Global Production House
NHNZ’s emerging media unit this week launched Dunedin “Unforgettable”, a half hour DVD revealing the rich heritage, culture and wildlife of Dunedin.
Dunedin “Unforgettable” for the first time captures the hidden treasures of Dunedin’s landscapes, lifestyle and wildlife on a DVD, so that visitors to Dunedin can take a little piece of the region home with them.
NHNZ’s Emerging Media manager Caroline Cook says Dunedin “Unforgettable” traverses the Peninsula, the Otago Harbour and coastlines, inland as far as Middlemarch as well as iconic cityscapes in a beautifully crafted three-part story that showcases all Dunedin stands for.
“This DVD has been produced with all the skill and knowhow of our international production team, and so it really is a gorgeous, vibrant and contemporary representation of greater Dunedin,” says Ms Cook.
The triggers for Dunedin “Unforgettable” were the various events coming up this year, bringing thousands of domestic and international visitors to Dunedin.
“There was obviously a gap in visual material profiling our beautiful place. The response to the DVD has been incredible, so I do think we have tapped into something really needed. We’ve had fantastic support from local businesses as well as the DCC and Tourism Dunedin. Everyone’s on board, as Dunedin is such a fabulous place to promote through this visual medium.”
Dunedin “Unforgettable” is being sold through key tourist and retail outlets throughout Dunedin.
The launch of the Dunedin “Unforgettable” DVD is being kicked off with a viewing for invited guests at the NHNZ studio on Wednesday 7th September.
