Wellington Police charge man with murder of Eman Hermiz
Wellington Police have charged a 50 year old man with the murder of Eman Hermiz.
The 50 year old man remains in Wellington Hospital being treated for injuries sustained during the family violence incident at a Raukawa Street address in Strathmore around 11:30am on Friday 2 September.
Acting Wellington Area Commander Detective Inspector Stephen Vaughan says 42 year old Eman Hermiz died at the scene after receiving multiple stab wounds. A post-mortem examination was carried out on her body yesterday.
"Police have requested a special hearing at the bedside of the 50 year old man tomorrow."
A scene examination has continued over the weekend and will continue over the coming days.
"At this stage, Police are not seeking anyone else in connection to the incident."
