Sony Companies Unite For Canteen
United for a Cause, Sony United’s first charity dinner for youth cancer organisation CanTeen, was held at the Hilton Hotel Auckland on Wednesday 31 August.
Judged a huge success by the capacity crowd in attendance, the event featured a standout question and answer session with CanTeen Ambassador Daniel Carter, as well as performances from Sony Music artists Seth Haapu and Annah Mac. Moving forward it is hoped that it will become an annual fixture.
CanTeen works tirelessly to support develop and empower young people aged 13-24 living with cancer through a national peer support network, providing professional educational and recreational programmes.
All money raised from United for a Cause will go towards Rest and Relaxation weekends which give CanTeen members an opportunity to de-stress, be pampered and get away from day to day pressures.
Sony United brings together representatives from all the Sony companies of New Zealand, including Sony Computer Entertainment, Sony Music, Sony Electronics, Sony Pictures and Sony Ericsson.
