Special rugby trains from Auckland to Hamilton
Rugby fans struggling to find hassle free transport from Auckland to Hamilton for the match games at Waikato Stadium, can catch one of the special trains KiwiRail will have operating.
"KiwiRail is offering ticketholders who are going to see the All Blacks play Japan, Samoa play Wales or Fiji play Wales an easy and comfortable way to get to and from the game," says KiwiRail's TranzScenic Manager Tom Evers-Swindell.
Coach transfers will be available to and from the stadium, and ticket prices will range from $60 to $90 return for an adult and $39 to $59 for a child The trains will stop at Ellerslie, Newmarket, The Strand, Glen Innes, Middlemore, Manurewa, Papakura, Pukekohe and Huntly before arriving in Hamilton in plenty of time for each game.
"With accommodation and parking at a premium for these games, the train will be a convenient and comfortable way to travel to and from Auckland.
"Rugby fans will be able to enjoy spacious seating in warm comfortable carriages with plenty of room to move around the train. They will also be able to purchase light refreshments and beverages from the café carriage.
"After the game, the train will be departing from Hamilton and returning via the same stops to Auckland," says Mr Evers-Swindell
