Missing Hastings girl found
Missing Hastings girl Shakahn Te Rangi has been found safe and well in Hamilton this morning.
Hastings Area Commander Inspector Dean Clifford said the 13-year-old girl and her friend last night sent a text to a family member saying they were in Hamilton. Police last night visited several houses in the city looking for the pair.
Mr Clifford said police in Hamilton had spoken to the girls late this morning through a family member and had picked them up and taken them to Hamilton Central police station.
"They are currently being spoken to by police there and arrangements are being made to pick them up and bring them back to Hastings," he said.
