Sky Tower lights up to welcome the world!
Starting this Saturday night, SKYCITY will be lighting up the Sky Tower as part of New Zealand wide celebrations as we welcome twenty great teams to our shores for the long awaited World Cup. Loved by Aucklanders and New Zealanders alike, the Sky Tower has, since it was built, been a symbol for Auckland and an icon for New Zealand. The tower will be lit one night for each team in their national colours in the twenty days leading up to the start of the tournament on 9 September.
Namibia will kick things off this weekend with Saturday's tower shining a green stem with a blue and red top.
