Golden Double Start for NZ at World University Games

It’s been a golden start for Glenn Snyders and Lauren Boyle at the World University Games in Shenzhen, China.
The golden double start to the games has been in the men’s and women’s swimming with gold for Glenn Snyders in the 200m
breaststroke, and gold for Lauren Boyle in the 800m freestyle.
The top kiwi swimmers Glenn Snyders and Lauren Boyle broke New Zealand records in the pool at the World University Games
in Shenzhen, China.
Snyders claimed victory in the men's 200m breaststroke final with a new record time of two minutes 10.85 seconds before
Boyle continued New Zealand's winning streak with victory in the women's 800m freestyle final.
Boyle also set a New Zealand record with her time of 8min 26.30sec. Gareth Kean then capped off the night with a third
place in the men's 200m backstroke final.
A third medal was won with a bronze going to Gareth Kean in the 200m backstroke.
