Matangi Incident
At about 2.00 pm Police were notified by another agency that had received a phone call from a person requesting assistance.
Based on that information Police were dispatched into the Matangi Township to ascertain the veracity of the call. As part of the process Police asked that the Matangi School be advised and locked down until the matter had been resolved.
As a result of enquiries conducted no persons were detained by Police and a positive line of enquiry is being followed.
