Blenheim Police name road crash victim
Blenheim Police have today released the name of a woman killed in an accident on State Highway 1 near Ward on Saturday 6 August.
She was Judith Lee Chapman, 56, self-employed of Nelson.
The accident happened when Judith Chapman's Honda Civic crossed the centre line into the path of an oncoming truck and trailer. She was killed instantly.
The driver of the truck was not injured in the crash.
The Police investigation into the accident has been completed and no charges will be laid.
The matter has now been referred to the coroner.
