Police responding to incident on Paekakariki Hill Road
Police, assisted by members of the Armed Offenders Squad (AOS) are currently at an address in Paekakariki Hill Road, about 3 kilometres from Pauatahanui.
Police have concerns for the safety and mental well-being of a man in his early 20's. He is believed to be in possession of a firearm.
Paekakariki Hill Road is closed whilst Police respond to this incident and residents are urged to stay indoors at this time.
A further media release will be issued in due course.
