Emergency services at Arlington Apartments, Wellington
Emergency services are at the Arlington Apartments in Hopper Street, Wellington, after receiving multiple reports of a fire in an apartment and an unconscious male just over an hour ago.
Upon arrival at about 6:15pm, a man in his 40s was found unconscious in the carpark area of the Apartment complex. CPR was performed but sadly the man has died at the scene.
The Fire Service has since extinguished the fire however cordons remain in place around the area as Police and Fire Officers begin to ascertain what has occurred.
The death of the male is being treated as unexplained at this stage.
