Funding information forum in Dargaville
PRESS RELEASE
11/8/11
ASB Community Trust will be holding a funding information forum in Dargaville next month, where community groups can
find out about access to grants.
The Trust, which makes grants worth around $40 million a year to not-for-profit groups throughout the Northland and
Auckland regions, holds its annual public meeting in Dargaville on September 3. The meeting starts at 1pm at Oturei
Marae, on Oturei Settlement Road, Dargaville.
Trustees and senior staff will report on the year’s results and give presentations on funding priorities for the year
ahead.
After the meeting, grants advisors will run an information session where community group representatives can find out if
they are entitled to apply for grants. Trustees and senior staff will also be available to talk informally after the
meeting, offering visitors the opportunity to share their plans and visions for the future.
Information stalls will also be run by the Charities Commission and the New Zealand Federation of Voluntary Welfare
Organisations, which provides community organisations with low-cost access to computer software through the Tech Soup
programme.
This will be the only Northland public meeting for ASB Community Trust this year. Those planning to attend are asked to
email info@ASBCommunityTrust.org.nz with details how many people will be in their group.
