Voting has begun. Your Vote Can Make a Difference
The election to divide the nation has begun. On Monday the 25th of July, New Zealanders were asked to pick their allegiances and make the ultimate choice: Wattie’s Baked BeaNZ, or Wattie’s Spaghetti?
The people have spoken, and the polls are overflowing with votes from happy Spaghetti eaters and reliable BeaNZ fans. The CANdidates are neck and neck, with BeaNZ leading by a whisker with 52% of the votes so far.
On the campaign trail, Spaghetti fans are riled, making their voices heard loud and clear. Recipes are flooding in, along with statements of general Spaghetti addiction. Some are even proclaiming their love of Spaghetti as something that has spanned decades!
“Spaghetti all the way! Been eating it for over 30 years now, definitely wins hands down over beans!!” claims one avid fan.
Meanwhile, BeaNZ fans are proving to be the strong silent types. But that’s not to say they are not passionate, which might just help BeaNZ win the race.
“I just discovered [The Wattie’s Baked BeaNZ Facebook] page! I feel like I’ve found my family! Hahaha!” says one BeaNZ lover.
Voting is open until the 4th of September, so there is still plenty of time for supporters to come forward and help their favourite CANdidate claim the ultimate victory.
