Further arrest in Masterton aggravated robbery last week
Wairarapa Police have made a further arrest in relation to an aggravated robbery at a Church Street house last Tuesday night (26 July 2011).
Detective Sergeant Bill Van Woerkom of the Wairarapa CIB says a 22 year old man was arrested yesterday afternoon and will appear in the Masterton District Court later today charged with aggravated robbery and wounding with intent.
This follows the arrests of two men, aged 39 and 23, a week ago.
It's alleged that at around 11 o'clock on Tuesday 26 July, three men entered a Church Street address and presented a firearm at the two occupants, assaulting the male occupant. A short time later, Police were then called to an incident in Colombo Road where a man had been seriously assaulted.
Detective Sergeant Van Woerkom says Police are no longer seeking Paul Anthony Thompson in relation to this incident.
