Loyalty has its rewards, as English rugby fan Amy Newham has just discovered after winning the tour of a lifetime with Britz.

The Nottingham-based fan got behind her country’s rugby team for the Britz ‘Show Us Your Tru’ Colours’ international online competition, and was rewarded with a prize pack worth NZD$22,000.

Drawn Monday, with the result announced online, Amy responded to the win on Facebook before Britz had a chance to contact her personally:

“Unless someone else has my name then I think this may be me, in which case OH MY GOD! I haven't had an email or anything...I am freaking out right now! If I have won then thank you so so much!!! :D xx”

In the build up to the world’s biggest rugby event hosted right here in New Zealand this year, Britz encouraged rugby fans travelling to Gods Zone to enhance their experience and enter the draw for a dream prize pack. The pack includes 60 days Britz campervan hire plus bonus pack, two tickets to one of the best rugby games played in New Zealand this year, skydiving vouchers, a glacier hike and dolphin cruise to name a few.

To enter, fans were invited to visit britz.co.nz and vote for the campervan decorated in the national colours of the country they support.

The competition drew thousands of entries from rugby enthusiasts all over the world. England garnered the most number of entries, from which Amy’s name was drawn, followed by New Zealand and Australia.

“We’ve had a staggering number of entries from rugby fans as far away as France, South Africa and Argentina,” says Britz Brand Manager, Sharron Clark. “However, fans supporting England were the most enthusiastic, perhaps because they best identify with the Britz name!”
