Court appearance for fraud allegations
Court appearance this morning for woman charged in connection to allegations of fraud at Hibernian Catholic Benefit Society
A 44 year old woman is appearing in the Wellington District Court this morning charged in connection to allegations of employee fraud at the Hibernian Catholic Benefit Society.
Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thornton, officer in charge of the Wellington CIB says the woman faces one charge of obtaining by deception, for alleged offending between April 2004 and December 2010.
"The arrest of this woman follows a joint investigation by Wellington CIB and the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) over the past several weeks."
