Trio's arrest follows stolen car crashing in Hamilton overnight
Two men and a juvenile face charges following an overnight crash involving a stolen car in Hamilton today.
The incident came to Police attention shortly before 2am today when a dog handler patrolling in Hamilton East was flagged down by a member of the public in relation to a crash on the corner of Dey and Brookfield Streets.
Responding officers arrived to find a Toyota car, stolen from a Hamilton address yesterday, had crashed into a power-pole and the occupants had fled.
Tracking the offenders, the police dog led officers to a Fox St address where the trio, aged 16, 17 and 28-years-old were arrested in relation to burglary, theft of a motor-vehicle and other charges.
