It’s Not Just a Game: Speaking Season with John Minto
John Minto is a political activist best known for his involvement in various left-wing groups and causes. Most notable of these was the Halt All Racist Tours group, which was involved in the protests of the 1981 Springbok tour at Rugby Park in Hamilton.
To mark the 30th anniversary of the 1981 Springbok tour, John Minto will be speaking at the Waikato Museum about his involvement in the protests and providing a first hand account of the events that took place on that significant day in rugby history. The talk will be held on the 11th of August at 7 pm.
