Bracu Restaurant Wine Auction – 1pm on 24th July 2011
The famous Bracu Restaurant in Bombay has decided to auction off some of its renowned wine library. The event will be held in Bracu’s Pavilion on Sunday 24th July at 1pm (Viewing from 11am). Not only will visitors be able to secure some incredibly rare wines but they will also be provided with complimentary finger-food. There is no entry cost but all bidders must register before the auction begins. This can be done via the online form at http://auction.liquidasset.co.nz
There are approximately 180 different wines on offer with some of the many highlights being:
• Salon Le Mesnil 1990 – both in 75cl and 150cl
• Perrier Jouët Belle Epoque 1998 and 1999
• The Antipodean 1990 and 1993
• Stonyridge Larose 1990, 97 and 2001
• Te Mata Coleraine 1997 and 2000
• Dry River Pinot Noir 1994, 95 and 96
• Stag’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon 1985
• Château d’Yquem 1996, 91 and 97
• Henschke Hill of Grace Shiraz 1987, 99 and 2001
• Penfolds Grange Shiraz 1986, 90, 94 and 96
• Penfolds Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon 1988, 90 and 94
• F Riserva Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 1993
• Jim Barry Armagh Shiraz 1989, 90, 95 and 96
The auction will be run by Liquid Asset (formerly Fitz-Gerald Wine Auctions) and will be both online and physical. Thus prospective buyers can chose to either be at Bracu in person or bid online.
Everyone who registers and bids will be in the draw to win a bottle of Jacquart Brut Cuvee Katarina NV valued at $110. There will be also spot prizes during the auction for those in attendance.
