DSC candidate for Invercargill selected
"DSC Party Leader Stephnie de Ruyter has been selected by local members to contest the Invercargill seat in the 2011 Election" announced Carl Payne, Democrats for Social Credit (DSC) Invercargill Electorate Chairman.
"A woman of Stephnie's calibre and experience will give Invercargill voters the chance to vote new blood into parliament" said Mr Payne.
After a brief stint working for the DSC in Christchurch, Ms de Ruyter returned home to live in the south early last year. Her wide-ranging community interests reflect her commitment to achieving economic and social justice, and environmental sustainability.
"The DSC's social credit programme of new economics offers practical solutions to our most pressing problems" Ms de Ruyter said.
"I'm proud to be representing the DSC in my home town and look forward to promoting the DSC's message on the hustings" Ms de Ruyter concluded.
