Facing The Finish!

Facing The Finish!

The eyes are shutting on the Otago Museum's special exhibition, Your Face Here. The show will close on Sunday 3 July. With more than 131,000 visitors through the exhibition since it opened in December, Your Face Here has been one of the Museum's most visited special exhibitions. Focused on our most recognisable body part, Your Face Here allows visitors to age, merge and beautify their own face, making themselves part of the exhibition.

Your Face Here is a journey through many aspects of, well, the face - from identity, psychology and beauty, to art and science. Visitor comments about the show have included:

* "Faces... so many faces!"

* "Outstanding faces exhibition. Perfect combination of doing and viewing."

* "Your Face Here was fantastic - really interesting, informative and super hands on and fun!"

Also featuring hundreds of faces from the Museum's collection, Your Face Here highlights marvellous masks from across the globe, and a myriad of faces used for status and decoration throughout the past and present.

"Your Face Here has clearly had huge appeal for our visitors" says Clare Wilson, Director - Exhibitions, Development and Planning. "What has really struck a chord with people is the ability to get fully immersed in the exhibition and spend time discovering their own faces in greater detail. Especially popular has been the chance to predict what you might look like as you age."

Your Face Here is a free exhibition, and will close on Sunday 3 July.
