Cromwell Golf and SBS Bank celebrate winning partnership

It has become a ‘dream partnership’ but that was always on the cards when SBS Bank and the Cromwell Golf Club teamed up more than a year ago.

The partnership has proven to be a great example of community alliance, with both organisations sharing long and successful histories and directly benefiting from the relationship.

SBS Bank Cromwell manager Lynn Manson said the key partnership established in April 2010 epitomised the two-way commercial and member benefit that is available when the relationship immediately blossomed into an all-embracing community affair.

“The timing could not have been better with the club planning toward its significant redevelopment project, as well as heightening its role as a community facility. It’s fantastic to see how the first year has been such a success and club members have actively supported SBS Bank to such an extent that the club has attained its 100 percent bonus payment from us.

“We’ve recently been able to put up the new club house signage, which looks visually smart from all aspects of the grounds and road and we’re looking forward to another prosperous year ahead as the club nears the home straight of its course developments.”

To celebrate the first year and the new club signage, Mrs Manson said SBS Bank was offering the chance to go in a draw for a luxury hamper to any club member that signed up with everyday banking at SBS Bank before the end of July.

“It’s just a special way we can have some fun while offering the chance to help our local people with their banking needs,” Mrs Manson said.

Cromwell Golf Club manager Graham Mercer said he joined Lynn in thanking their respective members for their support during the year.

“It’s been tremendous to see how well the relationship has developed. SBS Bank has always been there supporting our club and seeing that evolve into an all-embracing, community-wide affair.

“With five new holes now being used on our course, stage one of the $1 million redevelopment has been completed and it’s looking great. Stage two with more new greens is expected to be completed by the end of the year and it has been fantastic to have the support of Lynn and her team throughout the journey.

“I know I speak from our management team, our club members and the wider community alike when we say how much we appreciate the invaluable community support and great service that SBS Bank gives back to our district.”
