Independent Maori Statutory Board Appoints CEO
The Independent Maori Statutory Board for Auckland is pleased to announce the appointment of its Chief Executive Officer, Brandi Hudson.
Mrs Hudson has wide-ranging experience in education, sport, health and central and local government.
Most recently, Mrs Hudson worked in the Treaty sector, working with iwi on the Treaty settlements process (including in Tamaki Makaurau and Hauraki).
Chairman David Taipari said the Board was excited about having Ms Hudson involved, and that she would establish a Secretariat to enable the Board to settle into the day-to-day business of representing issues of importance to Maori.
Ms Hudson's iwi affiliations are Ngati Maniapoto, Ngati Pikiao and Ngati Rarua.
