At 5 a.m. on Friday 29th April 2011 the Invercargill Armed Offenders Squad was deployed to an address in Orepuki, Western Southland in response to a Family Violence incident .
A 41 year old male had assaulted his wife and threats were made regarding firearms.He was subsequently arrested.
The female victim received facial injuries and was treated by Ambulance staff at the scene
