The Royal Easter Show
Mandy Pickering Performing at the Royal Easter Show, to Help Hometown Christchurch.
Mandy Pickering won the hearts of our nation with her captivating performance of Sarah McLachan’s hit song ‘Angel’, going on to win Stars in their Eyes.
Mandy and her family are going to be at the Royal Easter Show this Thursday 21 April to Monday 25 April, to take a break from the home they’ve had to abandon after the earthquakes in Christchurch.
Mandy and her family found themselves homeless as a result of the devastating Canterbury earthquakes. To contribute to the rebuilding of her hometown, Mandy is working with i-Tunes and Amplifier to promote her current hit single 'No Heart' – written for her by James Reid of The Feelers – with 100% of profits going toward the 2011 Canterbury Earthquake Appeal.
Mandy collaborated with some of New Zealand’s most talented musicians to record her self-titled debut album, at the prestigious York Street Recording Studio, with award winning engineer Andrew Buckton (Midnight Youth) and produced by Brad Banks (Dukes).
Mandy’s album is a personal songbook that captures some of the world’s most beautiful songs in a style that is all her own. Mandy will be promoting her album, which is receiving rave reviews and climbing the New Zealand music charts, at the Royal Easter Show. It’s hoped that she’ll be able to contribute more funds to the Canterbury Earthquake appeal. Please support this great cause and beautiful musician at the Royal Easter Show. A nationwide tour is planned for later this year.
Mandy will also be one of the judges at the Royal Easter Show’s $15,000 Hershey’s Classic Star Talent Quest, over the 5-day Royal Easter Show event.
