New Auckland books hit the
streets
Delivery of the new Auckland books commences today. Approximately 660,000 Auckland White Business and Residential books will be delivered throughout Auckland, along with 654,000 Auckland Yellow® A-Z books. Users will see some innovative changes this year, as the products have been moved forward as a family in a Yellow® kind of way.
This year, in addition to the Yellow® and White pages®, an Auckland On the GO print book has been added to the Yellow® family. Just like Wellington On the GO, released late last year, Auckland On the GO is a portable information tool and convenient pocket size book that fits easily into a handbag or car glove box and is specifically designed to help people locate business information while they are on the go.
Deliveries of Auckland On the GO to 130,000 selected homes will take place from Friday 15 April. On the GO has been designed to increase usage occasion and subsequently leads for Yellow® advertisers and has already been a success in Wellington.
One half of Wellingtonians who received a copy of Wellington On the GO have indicated that they like it, with one quarter already having used it. A further 60 percent of those people who haven’t used it yet, said they would be likely to use it in the future, in conjuction with the Yellow pages®.
The new Auckland books will feature brand new covers with an iconic identity that reflects the Auckland region and better expresses the functionality of each book and its purpose. New navigational tabs have also been included to help guide users through the books and there has been a ten percent reduction in size, making the books easier to handle and store.
Yellow® Marketing Director Kellie Nathan says, “Our print books are a vital part of the Yellow® network of products and we’re continually evolving them as a result of the feedback we receive from our users.” “We’re also committed to becoming greener and reducing our carbon footprint. All our books are 100 percent recyclable, making it easy for councils to recycle them, our new covers are biodegradable and our paper stock is accredited by the FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) - all of the paper we use for printing is from timber off-cuts”, she says.
Deliveries of the new Auckland books will take place over the next two weeks.
