Emergency Drinking Water Relief for New Zealand: SpringFresh Water/FIJI Water Providing Over 46,000 Liters of Drinking Water to Aid in Earthquake Relief

The companies’ partner with The Earthquake Commission (EQC) and Rangiora Earthquake Express to distribute to those most in need

Christchurch, New Zealand (March 3, 2011) – FIJI Water and SpringFresh Water announced today that it will provide over 46,000 liters of bottled water to support disaster relief efforts and communities affected by the earthquake in Christchurch, where SpringFresh is headquartered.

The donation includes nearly 3500 cases of FIJI Water (SpringFresh’s sister company), diverted to New Zealand immediately following the February 22nd earthquake. SpringFresh and FIJI Water are working in partnership with The Earthquake Commission (EQC) as well as the Rangiora Earthquake Express.

“SpringFresh and FIJI Water are proud to be able to assist the local communities in a time of great need,” said Ed Wang, General Manager, SpringFresh Water. “We will continue to work in partnership with local government agencies and NGO’s to assist as the extensive clean-up process continues in the region.”

Wang added that his facility sustained no damage and was up and running the next day.
