TVNZ to observe 2 minutes of silence

TVNZ will observe 2 minutes of silence to pay tribute to the victims of Canterbury’s earthquake tomorrow as suggested by Prime Minister, John Key.
All channels will screen appropriate video images of the earthquake which will air consistently and in silence on TV ONE, TV2, TVNZ 7 and Heartland between 12:51 – 12:53pm tomorrow.
Website, www.tvnz.co.nz will also shut down for two minutes and carry an acknowledgment on its homepage.
