$5 million earthquake relief provided by NZCT

$5 million earthquake relief provided by NZCT

NZCT (New Zealand Community Trust) Trustees have today confirmed it will contribute $5 million in additional funding for the Canterbury Community following Tuesday’s devastating tragedy.

“On behalf of all NZCT venue operators across the country, we are very pleased to be able to provide this additional financial support in one of our nation’s darkest times,” says Chairman Peter Dale.

“We will work with the Government and Christchurch City Council and local sports to ensure this money is distributed as they see fit, says Mr Dale.

“NZCT, like many other gaming trusts and organisations, has staff and customers in Christchurch who are deeply affected by this terrible event. I know I speak on behalf of the entire NZCT family, when I say that our thoughts are with everyone in the earthquake affected zone.

“As one of New Zealand’s largest gaming societies and the largest funder of amateur sport in New Zealand, we also fund rescue and other sections of the community that benefit from our assistance, particularly in times of most need. We are pleased to be in a position to offer this level of assistance.
