Farmers' Markets NZ Inc Newsletter

Once again Christchurch has been struck by a disastrous earthquake, this time tragically with significant loss of life and severe injuries. The thoughts of all of us in the Farmers' Market family are
with the Canterbury growers and producers.

We at Farmers' Markets New Zealand want to do everything we can to help those Canterbury markets and individual stallholders through this crisis. Many of those people in the affected area may have had their
businesses damaged or destroyed and their source of income removed. Some may have lost friends and loved ones and all will be facing a difficult period over the next weeks and months.

If there is anything that other Farmers' Markets can do in the South Island to assist markets or stallholders to rebuild or continue to operate their businesses, then please do so. FMNZ will be setting up a donation site via the website in the next couple of days and any donations that FMNZ members feel they are able to make will be pooled and used to help our Canterbury members.
