Accommodation for people and animals on offer from Rural Women New Zealand members – Canterbury earthquake
Rural Women New Zealand has many offers of accommodation from its members around the country for earthquake-affected families.
Accommodation is available both in Canterbury and further afield.
“We also have members in other parts of Canterbury who have offered to drive to Christchurch and pick up anyone who needs transport,” says RWNZ executive officer, Noeline Holt.
“We hope those in need will pick up the phone and we’ll put them in touch with those who can help.”
A Rangiora RWNZ member has also offered to take in animals for families who need to leave the area.
“She has offered to pick up alpacas, goats, llamas, small pets and dogs. She can also take in cats as long as they can be caged.”
Anyone wishing to take up offers of accommodation, transport or a temporary home for their animals should call Rural Women New Zealand’s national office on (04) 473 5524.
