Countdown Supermarkets - Christchurch Earthquake Update

Countdown Supermarkets - Christchurch Earthquake Update # 6

The operations of Countdown Supermarkets remain disrupted following the
Christchurch earthquake.

FreshChoice Parklands & SuperValue Edgeware opened today.

All Countdown stores in the Christchurch area received deliveries of
stock throughout the day. Deliveries included fresh meat and produce,
basic food items such as tin food, pasta and cereal and essential
supplies such as water, sanitary products and batteries.

Our stores in the Christchurch area experienced an increase in demand
today and we ask customers to please be patient as we continue to
improve service and supply day by day. Stores across the South Island
continue to receive deliveries.

We continue to encourage our team members to contact our stores and
distribution centres to advise if they are in a position to return to
work.
