ASB support for the people of Christchurch
Following the tragic events in Canterbury yesterday afternoon, ASB has been working to support our people, customers and the wider community affected by this disaster.
We can confirm that all of our people are safely accounted for, and we are working with them to offer any support they may need.
ASB yesterday donated $1 million towards the Christchurch Earthquake Support Fund, and has opened an account to receive donations: 12-3205-0146808-00.
Donations can be made at ASB branches nationwide, or via online banking. Across the Tasman our parent company, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, is also accepting donations for the Red Cross.
We have a number of emergency relief initiatives for those customers affected; the details of which are available on our website.
A number of our branches in the Canterbury region have been damaged and we confirm that all ASB branches in Christchurch will be closed today so that our people can be with their families. We will provide an update on our branch opening hours as soon as possible.
We are regularly updating our website with the latest information relating to the impact the earthquake has had on our operations. Meanwhile work is underway to restore our services throughout the region as soon as possible.
Our thoughts are with those affected by this terrible event.
