Stores
The majority of Countdown stores in the Christchurch area will remain closed overnight. Countdown Rangiora is currently open with skeleton staff.
Most of the stores have experienced damage to stock, fittings and fixtures. Some stores have experienced structural damage.
Stores will not be re-opened until it is deemed safe to do so. Online shopping services remain suspended until further notice.
Logistics & Stock
There has minimal impact on distribution centres. Additional supplies of essential items are being organised for stores in the affected area.
The next update on Countdown’s operations will be made on Wednesday morning. Details are also available on www.countdown.co.nz.
