Mayor Ray Wallace offers solidarity and support
Lower Hutt Mayor Ray Wallace says his thoughts and prayers are with the people of Canterbury after this afternoon’s earthquake.
“On behalf of the people of Lower Hutt I want to extend our sympathy and solidarity to Christchurch Mayor Bob Parker and all those affected by the quake.
“We are keen to help where we can and the Hutt Valley emergency management team has already met to discuss what assistance we can offer, such as providing building officers and water and drainage staff, should we be called upon.”
