Watch Out: Office Quickies Likely This Monday
One third of all New Zealanders will be slipping out of the office for a romantic liaison with their loved one this Valentine’s Day reveals a survey commissioned by sexual wellbeing leader Durex.
More than 500 Kiwis revealed all about their plans for the special day as part of the annual Durex Valentine’s Day Survey.
For employees remaining in the office, the desk was the most popular place for an office hook-up (30.9%) followed by the boardroom (25%) and the bathroom (16.4%).
However celebrating love doesn’t come cheap, with 28% of respondents saying they will be spending $21 - $50 on gifts, 20.5% spending $51 - $100 and 9.4% spending more than $101.
The majority (52%) of Kiwis rate Valentine’s Day as somewhat important, followed by 21.9% of respondents who claimed the occasion isn’t important to them at all. More than 24% confessed to forgetting Valentine’s Day in the past.
In the bedroom, over a quarter of New Zealanders said they use lubricant regularly, stating it was most appealing as it enhanced their sexual experience (53.5%).
When it comes to royal romance, 32.4% revealed they would pick the Durex Play O orgasm enhancing gel from a list of lubricants to gift Prince William and Kate Middleton for their honeymoon package.
New Zealanders prefer the taste of home with 47.5% of voters suggesting hokey pokey should be the next Durex flavoured lubricant. Manuka honey (24.8%) and pavlova (22.3%) also rated well, while Kiwi Onion Dip (2%) and Lamb Roast (3.3%) proved unfavourable.
Pablo Saud, Product Manager for Durex says the survey results indicate Kiwis will be making the most of it this Valentine’s Day.
“Whether it’s liaising with someone special, or celebrating love with gifts, the annual Durex Valentine’s Day survey has revealed some surprising results.”
