Generous gifts given at GLOW
Generous Aucklanders attending GLOW raised $15,000 to help to bring clean drinking water and toilets to a primary school
in Chadakori, Niger.
Over 200 children attend the school, which is poorly equipped and has to cope with overcrowded classrooms. There are no
toilets or access to a clean water source. Sadly, this is not unique for Nigerien schools. Consequently, only 30 per
cent of children complete primary education. Young girls often drop out of school to get married or assist with
The money from GLOW will be given to World Vision which works with communities to teach parents about the importance of
education for all children.
GLOW, Carols by Glowstick was a gift from St Paul’s Church, Auckland, to New Zealanders.

Thousands of Aucklanders attended GLOW, Carols by Glowstick at Vector Arena on Sunday 12 December 2010 Tickets to the
event were free, the concert was a gift to Aucklanders from St Paul’s Church, Auckland Petra Bagust hosted the event
performed by Dave Dobbyn, Nathan King and many others. St Paul’s Church is Auckland’s oldest Anglican Church centered in
