Fun for all ages at Lower Hutt pools this summer

Fun for all ages at Lower Hutt pools this summer

It is going to be hot in the Hutt this summer and what better way to cool down than a dip in one of Hutt City Council’s six swimming pools.

To make it easier for seniors to dive in this summer, council are giving all seniors who come along for a swim a voucher entitling them to free entry next time they visit.

The promotion runs from Sunday 26 December 2010 to Sunday 30 January 2011 and Mayor Wallace is hoping local seniors will take advantage of the offer.

“We have six great swimming pools spread out across the city and they’re a fun day out for all ages.

“I have also asked council officers to prepare a report ahead of next year’s Annual Plan process to look at the costs of revisiting our pool entry charges going forward,” he says.

It’s not just seniors who win this summer at our pools as there is something for everyone with the return of council’s Big Summer Pool Promotion.

Visit any council pool from Monday 27 December 2010 to Saturday 26 February, pick up a promotion clip card and have it clipped at each visit.

Swim five times and your sixth swim is free

All completed cards also go in the draw to win a $500 shopping spree at Mitre10 Mega Petone or other great prizes such as a swim pack or a chilli bin full of cold drinks. Normal pool entry fee applies.
