Upbeat discussion at Hamilton Vision Summit
The "look
and feel" of Hamilton in 2030 was at the heart of robust
discussion at the inaugural City Vision Summit yesterday.
(Wednesday, 15 December).
Mayor Julie Hardaker hosted 50 people representing a broad range of community sectors from students and CEOs, to entrepreneurs and academics, in Council's reception lounge.
It was a place of lively and engaging debate as delegates shared their ideas on what they wanted Hamilton to be in the future.
"We all have something in common in that we all live in Hamilton, and love Hamilton," Ms Hardaker said.
"Vision for the city is not about bricks and mortar but the look and feel of the city in the future, and the aspirations we have."
Diverse topics included celebrating stories of success, making better use of the river, and improving the health of both the people and the community.
