SBS Bank Stands by its Members in Busy Year
13 December 2010
Around 75 SBS Bank members and local professionals took the opportunity to hear first-hand from SBS Bank general manager finance Tim Loan and New Zealand Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Bill English during a special Christmas evening held in Queenstown on Friday night (NB: 10 December).
SBS Bank Queenstown manager Patricia Muir said the presentation event was a great opportunity to thank their members for their ongoing loyalty and support in what had been a difficult financial year for many.
“Every year we hold a Christmas function – this year we were fortunate to have two great speakers in attendance and it was a fantastic way to round off a very successful year for the branch and provide some hospitality to thank our members for their support – the message is that we are there for our members and we value their choice to bank with us when there are many alternative options”
“Having a perspective from Mr English on the national economic situation alongside Tim’s detail around the background of SBS Bank, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand response to the global financial crisis and an overview of SBS Bank’s financial strength, provided an insightful presentation for everyone in attendance.”
The evening, which was also attended by New Zealand’s British High Commissioner Vicky Treadell, was held at the Art Bay gallery, in Queenstown.
