Pedestrian involved in serious crash north of Waikanae has died
A pedestrian involved in a serious crash north of Waikanae early this morning has died in Wellington Hospital a short time ago.
Police believe they now know his identity but will not be releasing his name until next of kin have been advised.
The serious crash occurred at about 1.44am this morning on State Highway One. The 27 year old was walking north out of Waikanae where he ended up in the path of a north bound van.
Police would like to thank media for their assistance this morning.
