Police Open Day at Dunedin Central Station This Saturday

Dunedin Police is holding an open day this Saturday, 4 December, from 10am until 3pm.
The open day will include the opportunity for a guided tour of the cells for a gold coin donation, and static displays by St John Ambulance, Land Search and Rescue, NZ Fire Service, Neighbourhood Support, Community Patrols of New Zealand, the Police Armed Offenders Squad, Police recruiting, Victim Support and the DARE Foundation. NZ Red Cross will be demonstrating abseil line rescue.
Children will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with a police dog and also to have a look inside a police patrol car and other emergency services' vehicles.
Refreshments, including a sausage sizzle, ice-cream and coffee, will also be available.
The open day is a fund-raiser for activities run by Dunedin Blue Light, a community policing project.
