One off Special Pre-Christmas Farmers’ Market to hit Hastings
Last minute Christmas presents, fresh produce for Christmas lunch or wine for the table will all be possible to buy
prior to Christmas as a special Farmers’ Market will be held on Thursday 23rd December from 4pm-7pm.
Held in the usual venue, Waikoko Gardens at the A & P Showgrounds will house ¾ of the regular stallholders to allow customers, locals and visitors to Hawke’s Bay the
opportunity to buy their produce so it is at its freshest for Christmas Day.
Mark Verry, Chairperson of the Hawke’s Bay Farmers Market says “as Christmas day falls on a Saturday this year we
thought it would be a great opportunity to give customers the option to come along to a special evening market closer to
Christmas day”
Not only will fresh produce, strawberries, cherries, meat products, and fresh flowers be on offer but customers will be
able to buy last minute gifts as well.
“We encourage people to come after picking up the kids from school, leave a bit early from work or bring the family
along in the early evening to pick up everything you need to make your Christmas Day special” Verry says.
The Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Market in Hastings will be trading on Boxing Day as this will be treated as a regular Sunday
market.
