Triathlon Stakeholders Spoilt for Choice
Another commercial partner has joined the fastest growing sport in New Zealand with Choice Hotels announcing their partnership with Triathlon New Zealand today in a move that will benefit participants throughout the country.
Choice Hotels includes a range of hotel options and will provide good accommodation for participants and Tri NZ at all events throughout the summer.
“After looking into the reasons why we should partner with Tri NZ, it became increasingly obvious that Tri NZ’s passion for a healthy lifestyle and fun really matched with our values in providing a relaxing time away from home,” said Aileen Cobern, General Manager Sales and Marketing for Choice Hotels Australasia.
“With over 35 Econo Lodge, Comfort, Quality and Clarion hotels in New Zealand in 21 locations there is sure to be a hotel or motel available to rest the weary, tired athletic bones in one of our hotels.”
Choice Hotels will also offer TRIBE members and participants throughout the country the added bonus of 50 Fly Buys bonus points every time a TRIBE member stays at a Choice hotel throughout 2011.
“We look forward to welcoming all athletes and Tri NZ family members to our hotels for the upcoming season,” said Ms Cobern.
Tri NZ Commercial Director Carl Jackson says the partnership reflects the continued growth of the sport.
“As we grow and our participant and fan base gets larger the sport has the ability to communicate with a wider audience across a broad range of communities. Choice Hotels coming on board will offer genuine benefits to our TRIBE members and add value to their experience of triathlon, whether as a participant, official, or spectator.”
